Needed Items:

2021 Summer Intensive Needed Items

As we prepare for our summer intensive from June 7th-July 2nd, 2021, we have put together a list of items that your dancer will need for their scheduled classes. Your dancer may already have some of the items mentioned below and if that is the case, you would not need to buy them again. However, we suggest that you go over the list to ensure you dancers is prepared for all of her/his classes. For several of the items, we have included reference and purchasing links to help give you an idea of the required equipment.

All Levels-Conditioning/Supplementary Ballet Technique Class:

1- One TheraBand. The TheraBand must be 7 to 9 feet long and 6″ (or 15cm) wide, medium strength. Note: “medium strength” bands will be different colors depending on the brand. We recommend the one in the link below as it is very long, and it can be cut to the needed length. If you decide to purchase this one, please ensure you select the 6 yards heavy green. 2- Ankle weights (ages 8-11) 1-pound each. Ankle weights for (ages 12 & up) 2-pounds each. All dancers will need a small foam roller that is at least 18 inches long. Click Here to view the foam roller.

3- Two Yoga Blocks: Click Here as a reference.

All Levels-Performance Preparatory Class (hair Items, part 1):

1-Your dancer will need both types of hair pins for the hair styles that they will be learning in class. Please click on both links to ensure your dancer has both styles.

All Levels-Performance Preparatory Class (makeup Items, part 2):

These are the products we will we be using, if you have these products or equivalent items please bring them with you to class. Each dancer will be using their own make-up to prevent cross-contamination.

Makeup Products:

  • Revlon Colorstay foundation 24hrs. One that matches the dancer’s skin tone
  • Revlon Colorstay Pressed Powder. One that matches the dancer’s skin tone.
  • Revlon Colorstay eyeshadows 555 Moonlit
  • Revlon Colorstay Sharp Line Eye Pen 01 Blackest Black
  • Revlon Colorstay eyebrow pencil. One closest to the dancer’s brows in one shade darker.
  • L’Oréal Age perfect radiant satin blush 405 Mauve
  • Wet and Wild Angled Blush brush
  • Wet and Wild Powder brush
  • Small box of starch


  • Baby wipes
  • A small box of tissues
  • Small Jergens All-purpose Face Cream (have only found it at Walmart)
  • Small jar of Vaseline
  • Small bag of small craft sticks

Kiss Look so natural eyelashes. No 62643 KFLM04 with 5 pairs

Eyelash glue-Black.


For students under 13:

All Levels-Character/Folk Dances:

Girls Only: Black character skirt (which should be slightly below the knee) and black character shoes with 1.5-inch heels.

If you are not sure which skirt and shoes size your dancer wears, we recommend that you purchase these items from a local dance store rather than online.
