2018 Summer Intensive Dress Code
Ballet Female Dancers
Pre -Ballet 3 & 4: Light blue leotard with pink tights.
Pre- Ballet 5 & 6: Lilac camisole leotard with pink tights.
Introduction to level 1: Lilac camisole leotard with pink tights.
Beginner Ballet: Black Leotard with, convertible pink tights and pink canvas shoes
Intermediate Ballet: Black Leotard with, convertible pink tights and pink canvas shoes
Advanced Ballet: Black Leotard with, convertible pink tights and pink canvas shoes
Ballet Male Dancers
White T-shirt, black tights, black dance belt and white socks (short).
Conditioning: Same attire as ballet class is required. For conditioning class, students will need a mat and a Thera band. Students from Levels 3 & up will need a 2.5-pound ankle weight. Dance shorts are allowed. (No pants)
Character & Flamenco: Ballet attire with a black character skirt (should be slightly below the knee) and black character shoes with a 1.5-inch heel.
Contemporary & Jazz: Black Leotard with footless or convertible pink tights and dance shorts are allowed. (No pants)
Partnering: Same attire as ballet is required.
Ballet shoes: Pink canvas ballet slippers are required, please no leather slippers except for the 3- 6 years old dancers. From Level 1 to Level 5, all female students will be required to have ribbons on their ballet slippers. This will help the younger students learn the proper way to tie their shoes, so they can build a habit for when they start pointe.
All students should wear cover-ups to and from the studios at all times. Any shoes worn in class should never be worn outside or on the pavement. This may damage the marley and cause substances to adhere to the marley which may cause injuries for the dancers. However; students should never be barefoot arriving or leaving the studio.
Hair: Hair must be pull back neatly and secured in a bun.
Jewelry: No jewelry is allowed, except for small stud earrings. No leg warmers, black ballet slippers, black tights, ballet skirts or extra clothing of any kind may be worn to class.
