Beginning/Intermediate Tap
Work towards developing rhythm, style and strength for tap.  Exercises focus on building flexibility of the knee and ankles, coordination and speed of movement.  Dancers will work to develop proper tap technique, creating clear tap sounds and having fun!  Build strong tap vocabulary and perform steps, rhythmic variations and extended combinations in class.

Musical Theatre Jazz
Explore the various high-energy jazz styles used in Broadway shows!  Focus on proper technique through warm-up, stretches, isolations and across-the-floor combinations that will help prepare a dancer for auditions.  A variety of Broadway musicals will be represented in fun combinations at the end of class.  Emphasis is on sequencing, style, performance skills and connecting with an audience through story and facial expressions.  Beginner or experienced dancers welcome.

To take the Beginning/Intermediate Tap or Musical Theatre Jazz class, the dancer must be enrolled in the Tuesday Alternative Dance Division ballet class from 4:30-6:00pm or be already enrolled in one ballet class in the school.
