2018 SUMMER INTENSIVE POLICIES
•A Non-Refundable Registration Deposit of $500.00 is due by March 12th, 2018. All forms must be filled out and signed by this date as well. Any registration deposits received after March 12th will be subject to a $35.00 fee.
•The remaining tuition balance is due by April 16th, 2018. Any remaining balances received after this date will be subject to a $35.00 fee.
•Alma Dance School dancers currently in the pre-professional division level 2 and 3 are required a minimum of 5 full weeks participation. Alma Dance School in the pre-professional division level 1 are required a minimum of 4 full weeks participation. Dancers in the Alternative Dance Division, Introduction to level 1 and Pre-Ballet are required a minimum of 4 full weeks participation. Dancers that are not currently enrolled at Alma Dance School are required a minimum of 4 full weeks.
•The registration deposit and tuition paid to Alma Dance School are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
•Credits will not be issued for missed classes.
• Supplementary Ballet Technique Class Description:
We will be offering Supplementary Ballet Technique Class once again as part of our summer schedule. This beneficial class will give dancers an extra hour each week to focus on mastering a specific aspect of technique. For example, one class will be dedicated to turning technique and the following class will focus on jumps and so on. This special class will give the instructor the opportunity to work with each dancer individually and help improve the dancer’s technique.
•A 5% family discount will be offered to 2 or more students from the same household that are both currently attending Alma Dance School. A 10% discount will be offered to 3 or more students from the same household that are currently attending Alma Dance School.
•Injury Policy: In the case of classes missed due to an injury that occurs while dancing at Alma Dance School, a doctor’s note will be required. This note should specify the extent of the injury and the amount of time recommended for full recovery. Alma Dance School will credit the amount for the missed classes and provide the option of making the classes up at the beginning of the fall session or during winter break classes. If a student gets injured at another summer program while also attending the Alma summer program, Alma Dance School will not credit any missed classes due to the injury. Injured students will not be admitted to class until they have had a full recovery period, and present a release note from the doctor to resume classes. It is recommended that each student arrives 30 minutes early before class to properly warm up. This will assist in preventing injury.
•Lunch breaks: Each level will have a break and/or lunch break throughout the day. Please make sure your student packs a filling lunch and brings enough water to stay hydrated. Lunches should be packed in an insulated bag or with an ice pack as there will not be access to a refrigerator during the summer intensive.
•Studio Maintenance: Each student should remove street shoes before walking across the dance floor. All students should clean up after themselves and keep personal belongings neat.
•Payments returned by the bank will be subject to a $40.00 fee.
